The Caring Council is a group of approximately 100 volunteers who meet for the purposes of discussion and community organizing on a variety of poverty-related issues including health, housing, and child care. The goal is to support positive socio-economic changes by educating policy makers and the public about flaws in the welfare system. Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 9-11am.
